Work is underway on improving services at the crossing points between the north and the south of Cyprus.
A protocol was signed between the Prime Ministry and the Economic Organization Platform (EOP) made up of the Turkish Chamber of Commerce, the Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Industry, the Cyprus Turkish Building Contractors Association and the North Cyprus Hoteliers Association to manage and maintain services at crossing points following contemporary measures.
Prime Minister Ünal Üstel said that he had held on-the-spot inspections at the border crossings with the members of the platform and that they were able to detect the deficiencies adding that they aimed to ease the congestion at crossing points.
