The Cyprus Hatay Sea bus (HADO) that began its first North Cyprus voyage on May 19th will begin Gazimağusa voyages as of August 5th.
According to a statement from the Hatay Büyükşehir Municipality, the Piyale Paşa vessel will begin the Arsuz-Gazimağusa voyages every Friday at 11 am as of August 5th and on Sundays from Gazimağusa to Arsuz at 11.45pm.
The journey will take approximately four and a half to five hours and will cost 850TL for the public and 650TL for students.
Büyükşehir Mayor Lütfü Savaş in a statement said “We have realized that we have many compatriots in Gazimağusa. At the same time, we bought a second ship to increase the number of voyages and to contribute to the people who will come and go between the two cities. We will also be able to intervene in the event of a possible breakdown of the other ship and evacuate passengers onto the new ship so that they can continue their voyage without any problem. We have two trips a week in Girne, two outbounds and two inbounds. We will begin a weekly trip to Gazimağusa too” Savaş said adding that they plan to increase HADO ship voyages to six per week.
HADO's Arsuz-Girne voyage is on Wednesdays and Sundays at 11.45 pm and the Girne-Arsuz voyage is on Tuesdays and Fridays at 1 pm.
