FM Minister Ertuğruloğlu: The spoilt child of the west, Greece and South Cyprus intends to cut off our ties with Türkiye!

Foreign Minister Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu put forward claims that the international community is playing tricks on the Turkish Cypriots, "The goal of these insidious aims is to separate the Turkish Cypriots from their homeland Türkiye." Ertuğruloğlu met with Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu in Ankara. Following the meeting, a joint press conference was held. Foreign Minister Ertuğruloğlu emphasized that the disaster and suffering experienced by the citizens of the earthquake region is above everything else, “We are contributing in the best possible way to help overcome this tragedy. We will continue to do so,” he said. “Here, there is no you or us!, as the Turkish nation, we all exist together," said Ertuğruloğlu, "There would be no Turkish Republic without Turkish Cypriots, and no Turkish Cypriots without the Turkish Republic. When I say Turkish Cypriots, I mean that their status on the island is a people with a sovereign state,” Ertuğruloğlu said -“The goal of these insidious aims is to separate the Turkish Cypriots from their homeland Türkiye” Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu. "When you look at the policies we are facing and the policies displayed by the international community, the game being played against us is obvious" “We are struggling with a structure that is attempting to remove the Turkish Cypriot people from being a sovereign state and bringing us down to the level of a community with expressions such as a solution and a so-called political equality. I would like to refer once again that this structure has very insidious ambitions. The goal of these insidious ambitions is to separate the Turkish Cypriots from their homeland Türkiye. As soon as you separate the Turkish Cypriot people from their homeland, this will mean to end the Turkish Cypriots on the island and exhaust the rights, interests and security of the Turkish nation in the Eastern Mediterranean. This is the target of Greece, and the Greek Cypriot community in South Cyprus, the spoilt child of the West.” Foreign Minister Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu emphasized that they were struggling against such insidious plans, embargoes and treachery:

“But none of these have any meaning. Today, our people, our brothers and sisters in the Motherland, whether they are the Republic of Türkiye or TRNC citizens, are all our people. The disaster and suffering they are experiencing are above all else. Therefore, we are doing our best to contribute in order to overcome this tragedy, and we will continue to do so. I am in Ankara today to express and emphasize this.” Responding to a question, Foreign Minister Ertuğruloğlu stated that work was being carried out uninterruptedly for days for the TRNC team at the wreckage of the Isias Hotel, which had been destroyed in Adıyaman. Following a telephone conversation with the TRNC Ankara Ambassador in the region this morning, Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu said that he had received information that 80 people were still under the collapsed hotel. -“We are waiting to receive miracle news” Stating that the TRNC Civil Defence Organization team was continuing work at the wreckage site, Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu expressed the hope to receive miracle news from the Isias Hotel, as well as in other earthquake sites.
