A beauty salon operating in Girne has been shut down by the Girne Municipality Health Department.
According to a statement by the Girne Municipality, it was detected that botox and lip augmentation procedures were being carried out at the beauty salon without the necessary permits from the authorities.
Police raided the beauty salon following a notification that the salon was operating illegally.
The business owner and staff were arrested.
The Health Department of the Girne Municipality ordered the beauty salon to be locked up and sealed this morning as there were no records of legality within the municipality.
