5-year-old child in intensive care

A 5-year-old child was seriously injured in an accident that took place yesterday afternoon in Gönyeli, it has been reported.
According to a police report, the 5-year-old child that was crossing the road was hit by a vehicle travelling in the northeast direction on Kovalık Street.
Following injuries, the 5-year-old was admitted to the intensive care unit at the Dr Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital in Lefkoşa.
The driver has been arrested and an investigation into the incident is continuing.
