46-year-old woman dies after being hit by two cars!

A 46-year-old pedestrian woman died in a tragic traffic accident after being hit by two cars in Girne at around 11.15 pm yesterday.
According to a police report, a 39-year-old driver of a JL 777 registered vehicle who was driving eastbound along the Bedrettin Demirel Avenue dual carriageway in Girne, under the influence of alcohol hit 46-year-old Birsen GÜLEŞ who was trying to cross from the North to the West side of the road.
The pedestrian who was thrown to the other side of the road, was then hit by a 31-year-old driver, registered KE 676, who was carelessly driving westbound on the road at that time.
Birsen GÜLEŞ, who was seriously injured as a result of the accident, was taken to the Dr Akçiçek State Hospital in Girne.
Despite all efforts, Birsen Güleş could not be saved.
Both drivers have been arrested and an investigation continues.
