3 arrested in 2 separate narcotic raids

It was reported that three people were arrested following two police operations carried out yesterday by the Prevention of Narcotics and Smuggling team. According to a police report, a methamphetamine- type drug weighing around 80 grams, 217 pills believed to be MDMA (Ecstasy) type drug and one scale believed to contain drug deposits were detected and confiscated from an individual following a police operation (Alley operation) from the Prevention of Narcotics and Smuggling team at 6 pm in Gazimağusa yesterday. In another incident, two people were arrested following an operation (Key operation) carried out by Prevention of Narcotics and Smuggling team in Girne at around 4 pm yesterday. Approximately 310 grams of a cannabis-type drug were detected and confiscated, following the arrest. According to information received from the police, the individuals in question has been arrested and the investigation continues.
