2 arrested for drugs

Two people were arrested as part of a police operation carried out in Gazimağusa at around 3.30 pm yesterday by the Narcotics and Smuggling Prevention team.
Following the police raid, the trace of drugs believed to be methamphetamine (meth) (5mg) and cannabis (½ gram) that were thrown out of the vehicle was detected on a set of drug scales.
The items found were confiscated and the persons in question were arrested.
An investigation into the incident has begun.
