Turkish Cypriot leader Ersin Tatar has reacted against the fact that a Greek Cypriot minister and deputies received weapons training following the Greek Cypriot priests.
Tatar said that following weapon training of Greek Cypriot priests, images of weapon training by a Greek Cypriot minister and deputies is nothing more than a new provocation and serves nothing more than increasing tensions in the Eastern Mediterranean, the presidency cites TC leader Tatar as saying.
Tatar referred to images of the Greek Cypriot Defence Minister Charalambous Petridis and GC deputies wearing military helmets during a visit to the headquarters of the Cypriot National Guard where they performed target practising. Tatar said that this was a clear indication that the Greek Cypriot side still prevails the EOKA spirit and the dream of making Cyprus a Hellenic Island.
