Energy policies will be determined by team of 9 experts

The Cyprus Turkish Science and Technology Association held a panel on ‘Renewable Energy Technology and the use of Productive Energy in North Cyprus’.
The association said that insufficiencies in the country’s energy policy and steps that need to be discussed were taken up during the panel discussions.
Discussions on energy were taken up at the panel attended by university academicians from North Cyprus and Türkiye.
Speaking at the panel held at the conference hall of the Turkish Chamber of Industry, Minister of Economy and Energy Olgun Amcaoğlu pointed to the importance of experts determining the policy on energy issues. He said that the law on energy would be planned by a team of 9 experts.
“All of the laws are ready for short, medium and long-term studies to be carried out on energy issues. The General Energy Department Act has been approved by the Council of Ministers, the Energy Supreme Board is at the Council of Ministers, and the Energy Productivity Law is ready to be discussed at the Council of Ministers meeting. Energy issues will be determined by a team of 9 experts” Amcaoğlu said.
