Efforts underway for sea travel between Bafra and Gazimağusa

The ‘Cümbaz Culture and Art Meeting’ event, attended by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu was realized with the collaboration of the Culture Department and the Gazimağusa Municipality.
Ataoğlu who spoke at the inauguration of the event held at the historical Namik Kemal Square said that the event enabled the public to embrace culture and art.
Following a standstill due to the Covid 19 pandemic, events were now taking place, Ataoğlu said that they targeted to embrace the public with artistic activities such as culture, art and theatre.
Reminding that the Hendek Fair is the first activity that comes to mind when thinking of Gazimağusa, Minister Ataoğlu said that unfortunately the fairs could not be realized due to some downsides. ‘the Cümbez meeting’ is a very good event and integrates with the historical texture of the city.
Sea travel between Bafra and Gazimağusa
Minister Ataoğlu said that the Tourism Ministry was working tirelessly for the development of alternative tourism models and the development and promotion of the region. He also said that efforts were being taken for the implementation of a sea travel project in the Bafra tourism region that will be beneficial to all tourists.
Stating that initiatives for the realization of the sea travel project between Bafra-Gazimağusa were still ongoing, Minister Ataoğlu underlined the fact that alternative tourism models will be created following the realization of a variety of sporting and cultural activities.
