Border crossings not affected by the strike in South Cyprus!

Crossing points between the North and the South of Cyprus were not affected by the warning strike carried out in South Cyprus today.
A general strike took place in South Cyprus today from midday until 3 pm due to a consensus not being reached between the Greek Cypriot Ministry of Labor and the unions on the issue of the cost of living (sliding scale of salaries).
Land crossing between the borders from the North to the South of Cyprus was not affected by the strike and the cross-over continued to operate as normal. According to information received by police, the Turkish Agency Cyprus (TAK) said that the congestion experienced while travelling from North to South Cyprus was no different than normal.
