“An intense flow of foreign tourists to North Cyprus via Türkiye will be provided by 2023”

Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy visited the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu during his North Cyprus contacts.
Referring to the tourism sector, Ersoy stated that while the whole world suffered a reduction in the tourism sector during the pandemic, Türkiye was less affected. Ersoy said that efforts were carried out last year for the promotion of North Cyprus tourism and that two groups had integrated on the issue.
The first studies carried out in the UK were successful, he said. The Tourism, Promotion and Development Agency is continuing preparations to ensure that once the new airport is operational soon and the international air bridge has been recreated the flow of foreign tourists will be maintained.
“As of 2023, we will provide a very intense flow of foreign tourists to North Cyprus via Türkiye”, Ersoy said.
