An 83-year-old woman was injured following a fall into 20-meter-deep water well at the Serdarlı village at around 11.30 am yesterday.
Due to the collapse of the top concrete surface of the well in the neighbour’s garden Hatice HİSMAN (K-83) resident at Dolap Kuyu Street in Serdarlı, fell 20 meters deep while trying to pick figs from a tree on Sunday around 11.30 pm, police report.
The lady was rescued by firefighters and taken to the Lefkoşa Dr Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital where she is being treated.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
